Some days back, the makers released the trailer of the Friends Reunion Special. After that, during the video of an interview, fans noticed Matthew Perry aka Chandler Bing’s slurry speech. Watching the actor answer interview questions in slurry speech got fans worried. Now, a report revealed the reason behind it.

According to a report in UK’s Sun, Matthew Perry’s much-discussed speech in the Friends reunion trailer was due to “emergency dental work”. A source revealed that the Friends star had an emergency tooth procedure on the day of the shoot. The source in the report said, “Matthew turned up to the reunion [in April] and members of his team said that he had an emergency tooth procedure that day.” The insider added, “That was said to impact his wellbeing and also how he was feeling.”

The source in the report continued, “He had been in pain from what we understand, which caused the slurred speech.” The insider in the report revealed that the pain from the dental procedure was that caused Matthew Perry’s slurred speech. The source in the report added, “Obviously no one wants to film after a procedure, but it happened. The feeling was one of huge sympathy for Matthew, especially in recent days given how people have reacted online.” The source said, “Matthew has told those around him that he is sober, and there is no need to worry.”
